Amanda (she/her) has an Honours Bachelors of Social Work and has been providing supportive and crisis counselling since 2016, and has extensive experience in the area of gender-based violence, specially domestic, intimate partner, and family violence for women, children, youth, and gender-and sexually-diverse individuals. Amanda possesses a broad range of experience assisting individuals of all ages, in any life stage, when support is needed. With a background in palliative care and grief, as well as supporting those who experience Aphasia and Communication Disorders, Amanda’s compassionate approach ensures wrap-around support for both her clients, and their loved ones.
Amanda specializes in coercive control, coping skills, emotional regulation, safety planning, abuse and violence education/prevention, relationship dynamics, positive psychology, family dynamics, as well as working through shame, guilt, and self-esteem. Working from a feminist and strengths-based approach, Amanda is able to adapt her approach to tailor the unique needs for her clients in their voyage to wellness
