I am a Registered Social Worker and have completed my Master of Social Work. I have over seven years of extensive experience working with children, transitional-aged youth, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in mood disorders, depression, anxiety, self-harm, thoughts of suicide, grief and bereavement, motivation and concentration difficulties, self-esteem, relationship concerns, and dual diagnosis. I also have specialized training in perinatal mental health, with a focus on grief and bereavement after loss, pregnancy that follows, struggles with fertility, new parenthood, and life transitions.
My practice is passionately inclusive, pro-choice, feminist, sex-positive, harm-reduction, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, culturally aware, and based on a client-centered framework. I will support you with a fully individualized approach to your unique circumstances, using a trauma-informed, person-centered, and non-judgmental approach.
I practice from an eclectic approach, using multi-modal therapies, including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), mindfulness, solution-focused brief therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
